A few weeks ago, a little six-year-old boy stunned the country with his viral message on gun violence in his hometown of St. Louis. After losing his own cousin in a drive-by shooting, Jeffrey “Lil J” Laney admitted being afraid that he was going to die, and begged his community to stop the violence. It definitely gained the attention of and really moved a lot of people, even rapper Pusha T!
In fact, Pusha T was so moved that he took the time to write Lil J a letter, and to make the boy’s summer INCREDIBLE! Pusha revealed to the boy and his mom, LeeLee Cheatham, that he not only set up a college fund for Lil J, but that Lil J was going to Six Flags with his cousins! In addition to that, the six-year-old is headed to a summer camp session with the Boys & Girls Club, and going to see an exclusive screening of the upcoming film Spider-Man: Homecoming. Pusha even sent a bunch of toys, games, and books to Lil J’s home, so that the boy would still have fun when he wasn’t at camp.
Check out Pusha’s letter below!
Of course, Lil J and his mom were so grateful, with LeeLee even posting a pic and video
Pusha T blessed LIL J with PS4, KARAOKE MACHINE, GIFTS CARDS TO GAP, GAMES, APPLE IPAD, SUMMER CAMP FOR HIM AND HIS COUSINS, TRIP FOR ALL OF US TO SIX FLAGS, COLLEGE FUND AND MORE.. WE LOVE U PUSHA T!!!!❤❤❤

This is amazing for Pusha T to do! He’s always giving back to communities in this country, specifically to those of color, so this is really no surprise. However, now Lil J can hopefully be more optimistic about his future, knowing that people believe in him and have his back! This also continues the very necessary discussion about gun violence in this country. No child should be afraid for his or her life due to violence in their communities!
