Lady Gaga has collaborated with Staples for a great, new PSA for StaplesForStudents.org in support of education in this country!
Continuing to deliver on its commitment of supporting education, Staples snagged Lady Gaga for the PSA, which calls for kindness in school as well as providing teachers with the proper resources to teach their students. According to a report by Sesame Workshop, 86% of teachers (and 70% of parents) admit to worrying often that the world is an unkind place for children. In addition, the Education Market Association reports that an estimated 99.5% of public school teachers use their own money for classroom supplies, often costing over $400 a year.

“We’re thrilled to team up with Lady Gaga, Born This Way Foundation and DonorsChoose.org to support education and positive classroom experiences nationwide,” said Frank Bifulco, chief marketing officer for Staples. “There’s a correlation between kindness and overall well-being among students, and we’ll work together to create an environment for students that will allow them to flourish and propel them into their bright futures.”
The PSA was created by Madison + Vine and is set to air nationwide for the back-to-school season. Not only is Staples airing this PSA, but the company is also making $1 MILLION donations to both DonorsChoose.org and Born This Way Foundation.
And that’s not all! As Staples is a sponsor for Gaga’s upcoming Joanne tour, they are giving one lucky fan the opportunity to win a $50,000 scholarship and meet and see Lady Gaga in concert in Vegas! Five additional winners will also hit Vegas for the concert, which takes place on December 16. Students who want to have this great opportunity can visit StaplesForStudents.org until September 16 to enter!
It’s really cool that both Lady Gaga and Staples are showing their commitment to education in this way!
