Eric Church is set to kick off The Salvation Army‘s annual Red Kettle Campaign with a live halftime performance at this year’s Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Day game!
Eric will perform at the AT&T Stadium on November 24 for the Red Kettle Kickoff, all as a part of 20 year partnership between the Cowboys organization and The Salvation Army. “Eric Church is not only one of the hottest names in country music, but he has a passion [for] giving to those in need, making him a great fit for what Red Kettle Kickoff is all about,” said Charlotte Jones Anderson, executive vice president and chief brand officer for the Cowboys and former national advisory chairperson for The Salvation Army. “Millions are impacted every year by the good works of The Salvation Army, and our goal is to help educate Americans that every penny dropped in those red kettles helps make a difference.”
Of course, the campaign itself raises millions of dollars throughout the holiday season each year to give to those in need. Donations help provide meals and shelter for families and Christmas toys for kids, as well as fund other social service programs that The Salvation Army provides all year round.
The Red Kettle Campaign officially starts on Thanksgiving Day and runs through Christmas Eve. Of course, you can donate by giving in person with the 25,000 bell ringers that will be stationed at different retail stores across the country. You can also give online at RedKettleReason.org, and even start your own #RedKettleReason fundraisers to give back to different causes. Donations can also be made through the Army’s text-to-give program. By texting the word “KETTLES” to 51555, donors can send any amount to the Red Kettle Campaign.
Eric joins a long list of those who’ve kicked off the Red Kettle Campaign, including Luke Bryan, Selena Gomez, Kelly Clarkson, Destiny’s Child, and Reba McEntire! It’s really cool that he took the time to be a part of this historic campaign, using his gifts and passion to make a difference.
