#NODAPL: Jaden and Willow Smith Join Standing Rock Protest Against Fossil Fuel Project

Jaden and Willow Smith have joined the protest in North Dakota against a damaging fossil fuel project!

The brother-sister duo have joined the ranks of some of their fellow celebs, including Shailene Woodley and Rosario Dawson, in collaboration with the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe in opposition of the Dakota Access Pipeline. The two recently participated in a protest against the construction, with Willow sharing some footage as she marched along other protesters.

The fuel project, which also crosses several sacred sites and burial grounds which the Indigenous community in the area hold dear, is concerning to natives, who fear that construction could potentially contaminate their water. So many have taken to the streets these past few months in protest of the project, which began in August.

It’s great to see Jaden and Willow taking a stand on this issue that is impacting many!
