In honor of Mental Health Awareness month, Duchess Kate Middleton joined in a boxing match with British world champion boxer Duke McKenzie in honor of the Heads Together campaign in honor of Mental Health Awareness month.

One of the purposes of showing off her boxing skills was to show that exercises is one of the key factors in mental health.  McKenzie reported that she “couldn’t wait to get the gloves on and had a wicked punch.” He particularly complimented her “mean right jab” according to People magazine. Watch the video of her jabs below –

Duchess Kate wasn’t alone in the boxing ring! Prince William and Prince Harry joined in on the fun. McKenzie reported that Prince Harry hit the hardest, referring to him as a “banger” and saying that he “runs like a Bentley or a Rolls Royce…I’ve boxed my whole life and he’s got a fair punch on him.”

Heads Together state on their website that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry are “spearheading the Heads Together campaign to end stigma around mental health.” They hope to start a conversation about mental health and end the stigma against mental illness. And make sure you watch these two – gotta love those boxing skills!

  1. We can pretty much agree that Kate is the awesomest princess that ever lived in the history of princesses. Wow. Sorry, Snow White! If only you put on some boxing gloves for a good cause. . .
