Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is giving away a trip to the set of the upcoming Baywatch reboot for charity!
The actor is offering fans the chance to to join him for a day on the film’s set in Savannah, Georgia! For a donation of $10 through IfOnly.com/Baywatch, all fans will automatically be entered to win.
All proceeds from the sweepstakes benefit the Charlotte and Gwenyth Gray Foundation to cure Batten Disease, which creates progressive neurological impairment in those suffering from the disease. The disorder typically causes blindness, seizures, personality and behavioral changes, dementia, and loss of motor skills and the ability to communicate.
Dwayne has been a big supporter of the foundation, which was started by Hollywood producer Gordon Gray and his wife Kristen after their two young daughters, Charlotte and Gweneth, were diagnosed with the extremely rare degenerative brain disorder.
Our #BAYWATCH set has become quite legendary. I want you and your friend to join me and our cast for a day on our set! We got your airfare and hotel covered. You just bring some happy faces, positive energy and dirty jokes (kidding about that last one). This charity is near to my heart. The daddy of these two beautiful little girls (Charlotte & Gweneth) is a very good friend of mine. Let’s get you out to our #BAYWATCH set, have some fun and help out some children in desperate need. Go to IfOnly.com/Baywatch for the info. See ya on set! ~ DJ
Sadly, children with the Gray girls’ particular mutation of the illness die between the ages of 6 and 12. However, the family is fighting to fund research for a cure, refusing to give up!
Kudos to Dwayne for offering this opportunity in order to raise more funds to help not only the Gray girls, but others suffering from Batten Disease!
