David Beckham received a special humanitarian award at the star-studded UNICEF Ball this week for his work with the organization!
According to OK!, the soccer star was honored with UNICEFs Humanitarian Leadership Award during the ceremony for his work helping children through his Seven Foundation. He was presented with the award by his close friend Sir Elton John.
Other celebs in attendance included Heidi Klum, Mariah Carey, Nicole Kidman and Selena Gomez. Unfortunately, David’s wife, Victoria Beckham was unable to make it, but she wrote a heartfelt message on Instagram, congratulating him on his achievement. Captioning a photo of David, she wrote: “We are so proud of @davidbeckham receiving the @UNICEFUSA humanitarian leadership award at the #UNICEFball. You are an inspiration to so many people with the incredible work you do. We love you so much, Victoria, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper.” Aww!
David wrote a post of his own about the award, saying, “Extremely honoured to receive the @UNICEFUSA Humanitarian Leadership Award this evening at the #UNICEFBall. I can’t wait to continue doing all I can for Unicef and my 7 fund, 7.org, to help children across the world.”
We have shared several posts about David’s work on Celebrities Do Good, and it’s great that he has been honored by UNICEF for his dedication! He is definitely deserving. Congrats David!
