2 Chainz Donates Car To Family After They Lose Their Belongings in a Fire

2 Chainz is continuing to give back this holiday season! The rapper has given away a brand new car to an Atlanta family after a fire destroyed their home.

According to VIBE, Damien Walker, Tamifonika Jones, and their four children lost their home and belongings in a fire this past September. Tamifonika and two of the children were placed in induced comas with burns while Antonio, the youngest child, suffered serious brain damage as a result of oxygen deprivation.

After hearing about the tragedy, 2 Chainz decided to visit the family, presenting them with a brand new Honda minivan purposed to transport Antonio to and from physical therapy. “You know y’all story it affected a lot of people. It got back to me and so I really been using God’s gift to me to really give back with not a lot of strings attached,” the rapper said. They basically explained to me the situation with Antonio needing to get his physical therapy and things handled like that, so I just wanted to come and give y’all the free van so y’all can move around and make sure he’s straight,” he finished.

Tamifonika was grateful for the rapper’s surprise.  “Considering what we’ve done been through, if only you knew the whole deal of it, it’s a blessing we even here,” she said. “To go from that to this and this happening so close to the holiday man, it’s just been overwhelming but its been a journey at the same time.”

  1. I absolutely love this! Every time I see a celebrity come out and help the public it brings me great joy. Especially on a personal level and not just a a PR stunt. This family needed this boost and to know that they are not alone.

  2. I love reading about stories like this. It is so heartwarming! There is definitely a lot of good people in this world. Hope more people will take after 2 Chainz and show compassion to the less fortunate.
