Carrie Ann Inaba and other celebs are set to be a part of the 3rd Annual Remember Me Thursday, which strives to bring awareness to loving, adoptable pets out there!
According to PR Newswire, the Helen Woodward Animal Center is set to collaborate again with animal welfare organizations and advocates for this great cause. Remember Me Thursday will be held on Thursday, September 24th, and encourages individuals, organizations, and celebrities to create awareness of adoptable, homeless pets on social media, as well as attend or organize candle-lighting ceremonies to remember orphan pets who, unfortunately, lost their lives without finding homes.
Carrie Ann, who has been named the 2015 Official Spokesperson for the campaign, has expressed her excitement for this day and her sentiments towards adopted pets. “I couldn’t imagine life without my furry family,” she said. “There is no greater gift than the love of an adopted companion. I am happy to be this year’s Official Spokesperson of the Remember Me Thursday® campaign to bring awareness to pets in need of a loving home.”

Other celebrity supporters of Remember Me Thursday include Kristin Chenoweth (whose song “It Will Be Me” is the theme song of campaign video!), Diane Keaton, Ian Somerhaldeer, Katherine Heigl, Kathy Naimy, Wynonna Judd, and many more!
Individuals and organizations can get involved in Remember Me Thursday by spreading the word about the campaign on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other social media channels using the hashtage #LIGHTFORPETS, attending, or organizing, a candle-lighting ceremony at their local shelter, lighting a virtual candle on-line at www.remembermethursday.org, and choose to adopt pets currently in shelters and encouraging friends and family to do the same.
