Jennifer Garner Bring Joys To Young Boy Fighting Bone Cancer

Via Give Forward:

Henry’s had a lot of terrible, horrible, no good, very bad days.

But Henry was all smiles when Jennifer Garner (star of one of Henry’s favorite movies, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day) visited his hospital room this week.

After persistent knee pain, Henry learned last year that he has osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer. Since then, Henry’s endured chemo and a rotationplasty — surgery that involved removing his knee and reattaching his ankle in its place.

While recovering in the hospital, Henry’s had some painful and boring days. That’s why it meant so much to Henry when Jennifer Garner took a break from filming her latest movie to surprise him.

Henry had his last (and 18th) round of chemo this week. For his homecoming, Henry’s community stuck hundreds of balloons in his front yard. It’s their hope that this surprise, like Jennifer Garner’s visit, will signal a lifetime of joyful, healthy days in Henry’s future.

How awesome for Jennifer to take some time out of her schedule to visit with Henry. I’m sure that made him smile!
