Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation Donates $15 Million to Environmental Projects

Leonardo DiCaprio and his foundation is continuing to provide assistance to organizations striving to preserve the planet!

According to Look to the Stars, the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation has given $15 million in grants to several organizations that have taken on environmental projects worldwide. “The destruction of our planet continues at a pace we can no longer afford to ignore,” Leonardo said. “I am proud to support these organizations who are working to solve humankind’s greatest challenge.”

“Our partners on the ground are up against powerful industries that want unfettered access to our planet’s resources,” said Justin Winters, executive director of the foundation. “We are dedicated to helping further their efforts to protect our oceans, forests, and wildlands.”

This isn’t the foundation’s first round of high-level donations! Since 2010, the Foundation has donated to over 70 high projects in more than 40 countries across the globe.
