Pamela Anderson recently paid a visit to the National Domestic Violence Hotline (The Hotline) and made a a great donation to the cause!
According to The Hotline’s website, Pamela donated $60,000 under her own foundation, The Pamela Anderson Foundation. She also took the time to listen to stories from advocates of the cause, who are making an impact in the lives of those going through or affected by abusive situations. “It was incredibly important for me to meet the men and women who, day in and day out, offer compassion and information to anyone who needs help with domestic violence. I am so happy to know that our donation will help ensure those seeking options will continue to find that trusted resource at The Hotline,” Pamela said.
Katie Ray-Jones, chief executive officer of The Hotline, thanked the actress, saying, “We know that Pamela is incredibly busy raising money to support her foundation, allowing her to donate to causes she believes in such as ours. We couldn’t do this work without supporters like The Pamela Anderson Foundation. We are grateful for people like her who have a place in their heart for the people we serve.”
Workers at The Hotline receive approximately 900 calls, chats, and texts daily from victims, survivors, and family and friends requesting information about domestic violence. I am glad that Pamela could make a contribution to this organization to assist in continuing the great work that they do in providing guidance and awareness to this sensitive topic.
