J. Cole has fulfilled a two-year promise to one of his fans who graduated from high school this year!
According to Necole Bitchie, back in 2013, a student named Cierra Bosarge reached out to Cole asking if he would attend her high school graduation from Washington Township High School in 2015. The rapper actually reached back out to her, promising that he would come, but only if she got accepted into a four-year college by then.
Well, this year Cierra graduated, and she was also accepted in quite a few four-year colleges including Virginia Union University and Harris-Stowe State University. The future journalist will begin college in the fall. Keeping his promise, Cole attended the graduation, quietly sitting near the back, and visiting with Cierra afterwards. He even rearranged his current tour dates to be there! Cierra later confirmed on Twitter that Cole bought her a few books that he personally likes and promised to help with her college tuition!
Wow! Kudos to Cole for this…this probably made that girl’s life! It was great that he actually kept his promise to her, but also that he stressed the importance of education to her as well. We wish Cierra the best of luck in her college journey!
