When you can round up some big name celebrities for a charity event, that is a good thing! On Saturday night in the Valley, there are a ton of celebrities that turned out for Celebrity Fight Night, an annual event that raises money for the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center in Phoenix including Reba McEntire (who has been the host of the event for the past ten years).
Actor Frankie Muniz was also in attendance. “They raise insane amounts of money for charity which is so great,” he said.
“There’s a lot of deep pockets in a room like tonight, which is the goal because that’s how you get to a cure to empty those deep pockets,” said singer Josh Groban. The event included cocktails, a silent auction, dinner, a live auction and musical performances from Kelly Clarkson, Josh Groban and Blake Shelton to name a few.
Actress Jane Seymour talked about why a charity event like this is so important saying, “There is absolutely no purpose in having success in life if you can’t give back and make a difference, so that’s what we’re there for.”
Even though you were not able to be at the event, you can still make a difference. Groban added, “For the people who are at home, they can donate. They can go to the website. They can find their own ways to volunteer and help out, and obviously the reason why we’re all here on this carpet now is to get the word out.”
