Stella Artois is working with Water.org to provide clean water for women in the developing world. Watch Damon in a promotional clip below:
The actor said: “Around the world, women spend over 200 million hours collecting water. But what if we could give them that time back and stop those journeys, so that they could start new ones of their own?”
Stella Artois has donated $1.2 million to the cause and has also released a series of limited edition Chalices to help raise money for the project.
Damon, who is a co-founder of Water.org, said: “Awareness is as important as fundraising. We want people to understand the issue in all its complexity.”
Damon previously completed the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, using toilet water to drench himself instead of clean water, to raise awareness for Water.org.
Bourne producer Frank Marshall has suggested that Aaron Cross will not team up with Damon’s Jason Bourne in the next movie.
