Recently, Hilary Duff was in NYC celebrating Trident gum’s 10-year anniversary of its sponsorship with Oral Health America’s Smiles Across America, a non-profit that provides oral disease prevention services for uninsured and underserved children. She announced that during the week of September 15th, every pack of Trident gum purchased will spur a 5-cent donation (up to $200,000) to Smiles Across America.
To kick off its 10th anniversary celebration for Smiles Across America, Hilary lent a hand, and a smile, to spread awareness about the importance of oral health for kids. Hilary said, “Child-focused organizations have always been my passion and today is no exception. I cannot express how important it is to come together and support an important oral health initiative that will help children keep their teeth healthy and beautiful as they grow.”
As a mom of a two year old, Hilary knows how challenging it can be to get kids to care about their oral health and she had a few tips to share with us today. One of the tips she shared is to keep a tooth-brushing timer in the bathroom so kids can have some fun timing themselves as they brush. Hilary also added that sometimes she sings a song of her son’s choice while he’s brushing.
