A totally awesome riding event for charity kicked off on Saturday, Aug 2nd. The Kiehl’s LifeRide riders—including actors Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Katee Sackhoff and Teddy Sears led by Kiehl’s President Chris Salgardo and Kevin Robert Frost, CEO of amfAR–journey from Wisconsin to New York on Harley-Davidson motorcycles are celebrating with the public along the route, and will donate a total of $150,000 over the course of the ride. Guests at each event can meet the riders, learn more about amfAR, and contribute to the organization.
Key partners for the ride include Harley-Davidson Authorized Rentals, and FIJI Water, and additional support will be provided by Dreamworks Studios, Marilyn & Jeffrey Katzenberg, Levi’s, Schott, and Kenneth Cole.
The arrival in New York will be a poignant moment for the entire city: Kiehl’s is sponsoring a monumental, open-to-the-public dedication of The AIDS Memorial Quilt, Aug. 11-Aug. 12th on Governor’s Island, and everyone is invited to partake in the unfolding ceremonies, new panel dedications and the Reading of Names. This program marks the first time in nearly two decades that the City of New York has hosted to The AIDS Memorial Quilt with a display of this magnitude.
Once again, Chris Salgardo, President, Kiehl’s USA and Kevin Robert Frost, amfAR CEO will lead motorcycle enthusiasts eager to join the fight against HIV/AIDS. This year’s riders include:
