Christina Aguilera Wants You To #PassTheRedCup

And we don’t mean Solo Cup either!

Today, Christina Aguilera along with Yum! Brands (KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell) announced the launch of its annual World Hunger Relief effort with its “Pass The Red Cup” (#PassTheRedCup) challenge.

Christina – global volunteer spokesperson for WHR since 2009 –is challenging everyone to share #PassTheRedCup on their social channels to raise awareness for the global hunger issue. She’s also urging people to donate $5 to help feed 20 children via HungertoHope.com, or in any of the 40,000 KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell restaurants across 125 countries. People can also text “WHR” to 90999 to make donations.

Yum! Brands’ World Hunger Relief effort is the world’s largest private sector hunger relief initiative – having raised $185M in unrestricted funds for UN WFP and benefitting thousands of local hunger relief organizations in communities worldwide. Volunteer Aguilera, along with Yum’s 1.5M employees aim is to raise awareness, volunteerism and funds.

  1. Great idea! Even though it’s getting harder and harder to manage as prices here go up astronomically on food in the US, I’m sure we all could sacrifice a bit for other.
