Jennifer Hudson took the Madison Square Garden stage on Tuesday all for the Pinoy Relief Benefit fund. The 32-year old Dreamgirls showed off her fabulously healthy self in a little black dress as she sang in the name of those affected by typhoon Yolanda (aka Haiyan).
The show in New York was set to help out those victims of the horrible storm in the Philippines, which killed more than 6,200 people and affecting a further 14 million people.
According to its website, Pinoy Relief aims “to provide relief to victims of natural disasters in the Philippines – with the current focus being victims of Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda). Proceeds will go to typhoon victims and the on- going efforts to rebuild lives from the typhoon-hit areas.”
Before the benefit concert, Jennifer shared her excitement for her performance via Twitter.
Hudson shared the stage with fellow Idol alum Jessica Sanchez who performed “Let It Go,” Oscar-winning Fil-Am composer Bobby Lopez and Filipino singer Charice Pempengco.
