Reality TV Star, Sean Lowe, Kicks Off “Shed the Weight & Share the Warmth” Campaign This Holiday Season


“The Bachelor”, Sean Lowe, and his fiancee Catherine Giudici have partnered with Hydroxycut SX-7 and GNC Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: GNC), the nation’s largest specialty retailer of health, wellness and sports nutrition products, to drive awareness and donations for those in need of winter coats.

The Shed the Weight & Share the Warmth campaign encourages people who lose weight to donate their old winter clothing to help those in need.

Sean and Catherine launched the campaign by presenting a $10,000 donation on behalf of Hydroxycut SX-7 and GNC to One Warm Coat, a national non-profit organization whose mission is to collect coats and distribute them to people, free of charge. One Warm Coat has collected and donated over 4 million coats since 1992.

In January, GNC will extend the program in-store by asking customers to donate $10 to One Warm Coat by texting “WARM” to 80100. GNC will also offer a special discount for Hydroxycut SX-7 on national store receipts.

“It has been an honor for Catherine and I to work with Hydroxycut and GNC to launch a program that will help thousands of people stay warm during the cold winter months,” Lowe said. “Charity is an essential part of our lives and this is a truly worthy cause.”

One Warm Coat’s National Founder & Board Chair, Sherrie Lewis Wood, was on hand to graciously accept the donation. “We are very grateful to the makers of Hydroxycut SX-7™ and GNC stores for their generosity and effort to help those less fortunate this holiday season.”

The program coincides with the launch of Hydroxycut SX-7™, the most advanced weight loss and clean sensory experience, designed to help men and women reach their weight loss goals. Hydroxycut SX-7™ launched exclusively at GNC stores in December.
