Justin Bieber may be getting flack for a lot of things lately, but there is one constant, the Biebs has a heart of gold and he definitely wants to give back.
Bieber spent his Sunday in the jungles of Guatemala, helping a group of poor villagers build a schoolhouse.
On October 26th, Bieber was set to perform in Guatemala City and then following the show, he hit the jungle to build the school that is part of his association with the Pencils of Promise charity.
On Sunday October 27th, Bieber took a chopper into a remote region and following the experience, he shared a three minute video recalling his experience.
He told the camera, “It was a wakeup call. Any problem I have is nothing at all. These kids have nothing at all. They have absolutely nothing. No food, no water, no education, and yet we’re stressing over little things. They are just so happy…I gotta say that it’s selfish of me…but it’s the best selfishness possible. I am doing it because it makes me happy, but it’s also helping so many other amazing people. I met this beautiful girl named Shelley and instantly we had a great connection.”
Sometimes this is something these celebrities need…to get their heads back into reality. Good for Biebs for keeping his heart in the right place!
