STOP WATCHING US: Stars Raise Their Voices Against NSA Surveillance

Today artists, actors, and activists gathered at “Stop Watching Us: Rally Against Mass Surveillance.” Artists such as Ai Weiwei, Tom Morello, Evangeline Lilly have joined with John Cusack, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Mark Ruffalo, and Oliver Stone appearing in videos, posting on social media and adding their name to the website.

“Every American is at risk for getting caught up in the NSA dragnet,” said Oliver Stone in the Stop Watching Us: The Video, which is featured on the front page of the coalition’s website.

Artists are also showing their support on social media, such as musician/activist Tom Morello and punk rock band, Anti-Flag, encouraging their fans to take action.

“It is vital that we have the support of artists from all mediums supporting this historic action and we are proud to be standing side by side with them to raise our collective voices,” said Rainey Reitman, activism director at the Electronic Frontier Foundation.
