Pamela Anderson Wants You To Adopt A Shelter Animal!

Posted on Aug 14 2013 - 11:00pm by Danity Donnaly

She may have been out of the public eye for a hot minute, but my guess is she has been busy trying to make a difference! Pamela Anderson recently took to Twitter to encourage her followers to adopt a dog or a cat from the animal shelter. She also shared a photo of herself visiting a shelter dog.

She tweeted the following message, “Please Adopt Don’t Buy! Save a Homeless Dog or Cat!”

And when you look at the grand scheme of things, if you are looking to add a furry little friend to your household, animal shelters are the way to go. According to the Humane Society, 6-8 million pets enter shelters every year, but only around half of them will be adopted. You can check to look for pets in need of homes near you. You can search by age, breed, or gender. If you’ve got your heart set on a specific breed, chances are there is a rescue group specifically for them. You just have to look!

If you’re not able to adopt a pet or don’t want to, you can still help the animals by supporting shelters and rescue groups. Most animal shelters have a wish list of supplies, and all of them need loving volunteers. There is a way that you can help!
