Kristen Bell, Sophia Bush, Rachel Bilson Tackle Human Rights With Invisible Children

Kristen Bell has been an avid supporter of the charity Invisible Children. For those of you unfamiliar…

Invisible Children believes in starting with the specific to prove the universal. They are beginning with Joseph Kony and the conscious decision not to ignore his murderous campaign simply because his escapades do not impact us economically or threaten us militarily. They respond because he destroys human life. They believe in the equal and inherent value of all human life. They believe that a worldview bound by borders is outdated and that stopping injustice everywhere is the responsibility of humanity everywhere. They call this ethos the Fourth Estate.

On August 8-11, Invisible Children will make history yet again at The Fourth Estate Leadership Summit where Kristen Bell, Sophia Bush, Rachel Bilson, Adam Braun, Elizabeth Gore, Dan Pallotta, and more will take the stage before a live audience and via livestream at Touted by the group as 1/3 conference, 1/3 film festival and 1/3 concert, the summit will have a score of presentations by thought-leaders in the arenas of social good, non-profits, world affairs, and activism, as well as hands-on workshops, interactive opportunities, live music and more.

A press conference will be taking place during this time and will be attended by Invisible Children’s CEO, Ben Keesey, Chief Creative Officer, Jason Russell and Director of Idea Development, Jedidiah Jenkins, as well as speakers Kristen Bell, Rachel Bilson, Sophia Bush and more to answer questions about the organization’s evolved direction. More details about the press conference will be available next week. Stay tuned!

Sounds like a great cause. Wondering does the event raise funds to support the victims or just bring awareness to the issue?
