Michael Vick may have had a rough time ever since being busted for his dog fighting days, but he is now trying to become a better man. With a new memoir out called Michael Vick: Finally Free, he is on a promotional tour signing autographs, but a few of those tour dates were forced to be canceled after the NFL star was hounded with death threats.
And now he is responding to the haters who are trying to bring a brother down.
His rep released the following statement to TMZ, “Regardless of the past threats, he has millions of fans around the world and has been receiving countless messages of support. He will continue to keep an active schedule working with charities.”
According to reports, Michael will continue to work with the Team Freedom Outreach (recreation and visitation programs for youth detention centers) and the Veterans of Foreign Wars organization. In response to the death threats, Vick has put additional security measures in place to keep the haters at bay.
His rep added, “Mike is committed to helping make his community a better place and [he] is determined to continue his work with charity and helping others.”
Michael Vicks new memoir is titled “Michael Vick: Finally Free” and is set for release on July 27th.
