Taylor Swift may be having some personal relationship issues and enduring public scrutiny because of them but she is trying to keep all unbeknownst to her by keeping close to her fans. Swift recently had lunch with 17-year-old Kayla Kincannon, a teenage fan suffering from brain cancer.

Miss Kincannon’s pals created an online campaign that urged Swift to take the time to meet her and as you can see by the photo above, it happened!

Via her Twitter page, Kayla exclaimed, “Can not believe I just had lunch w @taylorswift13 today, I was enchanted to meet you! Lol.”

Kincannon’s father was even excited that Swift made an appearance. He said, “You guys have no idea how awesome this lunch was! This was no quick meet and greet photo opp. We sat and talked to Taylor and her mom for two hours, had lunch and Kayla received a gift basket, then she signed pictures! She is the sweetest, most down-to-earth person I have ever met! This was more than we ever expected! I’m so thankful to team Kayla, news, and everyone who made her dream come true! This was the best day ever for her and all of us!”

That’s so great! What a great thing for Swift to do. Our best wishes go out to Kayla and her family. Keep on fighting!
