Pattie Mallette is making sure she isn’t JUST known as Justin Bieber’s mother. Ms. Mallette is entering into her own spotlight as the executive producer on an anti-abortion short film. And yes, even though she does center the movie around her son, she is making a name for herself.
The film called “Crescendo” is a film that the makers hope will raise TEN million dollars for pregnancy centers across the country.
Starting on February 28th, screenings of the flick will be held at about 100 screens across the country. Pattie is set to tell her story via the big screen as she did in her book Nowhere But Up. At age 17, Mallette was encouraged to have an abortion after she became pregnant with Justin and she felt pressured to terminate her pregnancy.
She explains, “I knew that I had to do what it took. I just couldn’t abort him.”
About her involvement with the film, Mallette said that she hopes the flick will “encourage young women all over the world, just like me, to let them know that there is a place to go, people who will take care of you and a safe home to live in if you are pregnant and think you have nowhere else to turn.”
It is true that some girls do feel alone. Despite the controversy over abortion, this film will definitely be pro-life and will encourage even teenagers to consider their options including adoption instead of going through with the medical procedure of abortion.
