Charlie Sheen has had a rough few years with his change of employment (from the drama of Two and a Half Men to Anger Management) and his partying lifestyle, but he is certainly starting this year off on a high note (and I don’t mean narcotics or illegal substances). The guy is being a generous jerry that is worth speaking of!
This week a paparazzo was killed while chasing Justin Bieber’s car and Sheen has stepped up to pay $12,000 of the 29-year-old Chris Guerra’s funeral after hearing that Guerra’s family was trying to raise some money to pay for the service.
So why did Charlie decide to get out his checkbook to help out this family? He tells TMZ, “A tragic incident like this erases the line between the photographer and the subject. It’s an unforgiving moment that begs us all to be human and work as one to prevent this in the future. As parents, we are all not supposed to bury our children. My deepest condolences to the families involved.”
Wow! What a stand up thing to do. Sure celebrities aren’t exactly thrilled that they are getting chased around on the daily by snappers trying to get that picture they hope will earn them a paycheck, but it appears as if Sheen knows that this guy didn’t mean any harm and that we are ALL human.
Good on him!
