Rihanna not only donated 1,000 sleeping bags to the Daily News’ Hurricane Sandy relief effort, but she also transformed her release party for her album Unapologetic into a rally to collect donations for those in need.
On Friday at Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club in Manhattan, if you wanted to get into Ri’s Unapologetic listening party, you had to bring something to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy. Fans were asked to bring needed basics, like diapers and wipes, coats and blankets, and lots of cleaning supplies. All of the items were packed into a Daily News truck and delivered on Saturday to sections of the city in need of supplies.
Way to go RiRi!
